Jaxx welcome Biscuits to Pringles Park, August 7-11

The Diamond Jaxx will be hosting the Montgomery Biscuits from Saturday, August 7th through Wednesday, August 11th at Pringles Park. The Jaxx will be returning from a 10-game road trip where they played the Tennessee Smokies and the Chattanooga Lookouts. There are a number of different things going on on Saturday night, culminating with a fireworks show. Saturday, August 7th will be Educators Appreciation Night (see below), WLJT Family Night, Fellowship Night with Saul2Paul Concert after the fireworks (see below), and 80's Night sponsored by NewsTalk 101.5FM.

Jaxx Recognize Educators on August 7th

The West Tenn Diamond Jaxx will host Educators Appreciation Night on Saturday, August 7th, when the Diamond Jaxx take on the Montgomery Biscuits in the first game of a five game series at Pringles Park. The night will take place around the educators are returning to school after summer break. It is intended to be an evening to show appreciation and recognition for those in West Tennessee who make a positive impact on students, whether the are teachers, administrators, or faculty members.

Vouchers redeemable for one free general admission ticket will be distributed to all schools in West Tennessee and surrounding areas upon request. Contact your school superintendent for your voucher or show your school ID at the box office to receive the free general admission ticket for being a school employee.

Jaxx Have New Promotion: Chuck-A-Ball

Everyone is invited to come out to the park for Night of Heart on July 24 at Pringles Park. This will be a joint effort between the Tennessee Heart and Vascular Center, the American Heart Association, and the West Tennessee Diamond Jaxx. Night of Heart will be an exciting, fun-filled way to educate West Tennesseans about how we work so hard to protect their hearts. The Diamond Jaxx will be wearing their red jerseys and we want everyone to "Red Out" the park that night. There will also be a silent auction for the jerseys that will be worn by the players during the game.

Alex Liddi Named Southern League Player of the Week

For the second time this year, Alex Liddi was named the Southern League Player of the Week, this time for the week of July 19-25. He led the Diamond Jaxx to a 5-1 record, hitting five home runs and going 9 for 25 with 12 RBI's. This season, the Diamond Jaxx First/Third Baseman has hit .275 with 12 HR and 69 RBI, good enough for 3rd place currently in the league in home runs.

Jaxx have Fellowship Night and Post Game Concert, Aug 7

On Saturay, August 7th, the Diamond Jaxx will have their first Fellowship Night at the ballpark. Church groups can contact the box office and get discounted rates for the night's game. Also, after the game, the Contemporary Christian band, Saul2Paul, will be performing the Tennessee National Guard Picnic Pavilion following the fireworks show.
