Condors to Donate 10% of August Ticket Sales to Wildfire Relief

Bakersfield Condors News Release


BAKERSFIELD, CA -With areas of Kern County in a state of emergency due to recent wildfires, the Condors will donate 10% of August ticket sales to the American Red Cross-Kern Chapter wildfire relief fund, to assist the people who have been affected by Kern County fires. For information on available ticket plans call the Condors front office at 324-PUCK (7825).

This Week In Condorstown:

Tuesday, August 3

Baby Cal and select Condors staff members will be out at the National Night Out Against Crimefrom 6 to 9 pm at Central Park Mill Creek located at 500 17thSt. Baby Cal will entertain the guests as they come out to help the Bakersfield Police Departmentin encouraging the community to support local anti-crime programs. The Condors will have a booth setup with information, schedules, and prizes as well.

Friday, August 6

Colonel Claw'd and select Condors staff members will visit the Jasmine Nyree Centerat 10:45 am, located at 801 18th Street. Colonel will entertain the kids by showing them hockey equipment and also hand out some prizes.

Tuesday, July 27

Colonel Claw'd and Community Relations Manager Lindsey Ponce visited the Bakersfield Ronald McDonald House last week. Colonel greeted a few of the families in the house, handed out some prizes, and paid a visit to the children next door at Memorial Hospital.

Wednesday, July 28

Condors mascot Baby Cal appeared as the featured reader for the Family Story Time hour at the Kern County Library's Southwest Branch. Baby Cal acted out the scenes of selected books as they were read aloud.

The Condors have already had a community-filled summer throughout Kern County. Our mascots and select Condors staff have already participated in such events as the Community Support Options' Carnival, Kern County Museum Summer Fun Day, Kern County Cub Scout Day Camp, KC Epilepsy Society Mud Volleyball Tournament, and the Downtown Street Faires. We have also enjoyed visits with Norris School, Ronald McDonald House, Camp Condor, Bill Williams Elementary, Bakersfield Diabetes Forum and more!
