Iowa Energy Announce Open Tryout Schedule

Des Moines, IA (July 8, 2010) - The Iowa Energy have announced the dates and locations for their 2010 player tryouts. The Energy will host tryouts in Des Moines (October 30) as well as Phoenix (October 23) and Chicago (October 9), home of the Energy's NBA affiliates, the Phoenix Suns and Chicago Bulls.

The tryout will be conducted by the Iowa Energy coaching staff. In addition representatives from the D-League and NBA teams are expected to be in attendance.

"There have been a number of success stories involving players who attended open tryouts. If you want to play professional basketball, this is your chance to earn your way in," said Nick Nurse, Energy Head Coach.

Space is limited for all tryouts, and spots are reserved on a first come, first served basis. To register for the camp, please call 515-462-2849. For more information, visit www.IowaNBA.com. Participants must complete all paperwork to compete at the camp.

CHICAGO TRYOUT

Date: October 9th

Location: Prairie Stone Sports and Wellness

5050 Sedge Boulevard

Time: 9AM - 4PM (doors open at 8AM)

Fee: $125 if registered prior to August 31st

$150 after August 31st or at door

PHOENIX TRYOUT

Date: October 23rd

Location: Skyline High School

Time: 9AM - 4PM (doors open at 8AM)

Fee: $125 if registered prior to August 31st

DES MOINES TRYOUT

Time: 12PM - 7PM (doors open at 11AM)
