OMAHA, NE - The Omaha Lancers of the United States Hockey League (USHL) are pleased to announce that Darland Construction Co. will be the team's presenting sponsor for the upcoming 2010-2011 season. It marks the first time under the current ownership group, headed by President/Managing Partner Ben Robert, that the Lancers have had a presenting sponsor.

"We're thrilled to announce Darland Construction as our presenting sponsor for the 2010-2011 season - the 25th anniversary season of Lancers hockey," Robert said. "The Lancers have become an integral part of the fabric of the Omaha community just like Darland, which makes this a perfect partnership."

Founded in 1953, Darland has been serving the Omaha community for 57 years and shares many of the same values and ideals as the Lancers.

"Our company slogan is BUILDING TO A HIGHER STANDARD," said Duke Matz, Principal of Darland. "And we feel the Omaha Lancers display that same mindset both on and off the ice. We're especially excited to be joining with the Lancers for what should be an incredibly exciting and memorable 25th anniversary season."

The Lancers were recently named 2010 USHL Organization of the Year while Ben Robert was honored as the David Tyler Executive of the Year. It's the first time the Lancers have been selected as Organization of the Year since the 1993-94 season.

Darland is headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, and has completed projects in 15 states. Darland's expertise in construction management - with an emphasis on proactive planning - has earned the company a reputation for exceeding client expectations.
