
Bulldogs Drop Game 4 To Heat 4-1

Abbotsford, BC - The Hamilton Bulldogs were defeated by the Abbotsford Heat 4-1 at Abbotsford Entertainment & Sports Centre on Thursday night. The teams are now tied at two in their best-of-seven North Division Final series. Mitch Wahl had two goals and an assist for Abbotsford.
The Heat opened the game's scoring at 12:44 of the first period. Carter Bancks fired a shot on net that was stopped by Hamilton starting goaltender Cedrick Desjardins. The rebound bounced onto the stick of Lance Bouma, who fired a shot past Desjardins and into the net.
The 'Dogs tied the game at 13:18 of the second stanza. Aaron Palushaj collected the puck behind the Heat net before backhanding a pass to Ryan Russell, who fired a one-time shot that beat Abbotsford starting goaltender David Shantz through the legs.
The Heat regained the lead at 14:59 of the middle frame with a power-play marker. Brett Sutter sent a pass to Mitch Wahl, who was positioned in the slot. Wahl fired a backhand shot that traveled past Desjardins on the left side.
Wahl added his second goal at 3:26 of the final frame. Matt Pelech dished the puck to Wahl, who waited patiently before snapping a shot over the glove of Desjardins and into the top of the net. The Heat took a 4-1 lead at 14:35. Pelech blasted a shot that was stopped by Desjardins. David Van der Gulik grabbed the loose puck before depositing the puck behind the goaltender.
The Bulldogs will play Game 5 of their North Division Final series in Abbotsford against the Heat on Saturday, May 8th at 10:00 p.m. EST. The game will be shown on Cable 14 the following day at 11:00 p.m. as 'Dogs in an hour.
