Allen Americans News Release

ALLEN, Texas - The Allen Americans are set for Game Six of the Ray Miron Presidents' Cup Finals tomorrow night. The contest starts at 7:35 p.m. in Rapid City at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Arena.

Rapid City leads the best-of-seven series 3-2, but the Americans are 3-0 in games where they face elimination. After going down 3-2 to Laredo in the Conference Semifinals, Allen won the next two games to face Odessa in the Conference Finals. The club then defeated the Jackalopes 4-2 in Game Seven to earn their first spot in the finals.

"We have been a resilient team all year, and we believe we can win here [in Rapid City] on Tuesday night," Americans Head Coach and General Manager Dwight Mullins said.

Indeed, the Americans are resilient. The expansion club did not lost three straight games in regulation during the regular season, and Allen has not lost three in a row during the playoffs either.
