
Rendle Named To NAHL All-Rookie Team

FRISCO, TX - Bismarck Bobcats defenseman Sam Rendle wasnamed to the North American Hockey League's all-rookie team following anelectrifying debut season on the blueline for the Bobcats.
"It means a lot to receive an honor like being named to the All-RookieTeam," said Rendle. "I didn't know what to expect coming into my first juniorseason, but I was fortunate enough to land into an organization with a greathead coach and a group of guys that were great to be around and helped me havea good year."
In the regular season, Rendle led all NAHL defensemen with47 points on 10 goals and 37 assists in 57 games.
The Bemidji State recruit also has two goals and sevenassists for the 'Cats during the 2010 playoffs.
"A spot on the All-Rookie Team is a nice individual, regularseason award," Rendle emphasized, adding, "but the most important thing ismaking sure that I contribute over the next five games so that we can win thebiggest team award- the Robertson Cup."
Joining Rendle on the All-Rookie team are: forwards BryceJohnson (Topeka), Tanner Kero (Marquette) and Shawn Pauly (Wenatchee);defenseman Alex McLean (Wenatchee) and goaltender Brandon Jaeger (Wenatchee).
The Bobcats open play at their second consecutive RobertsonCup Tournament Tuesday against the three-time defending champion St. LouisBandits at 4:05 PM central time at the Town Toyota Center in Wenatchee, WA.
The entire Robertson Cup Tournament will be broadcastlocally on the radio home of Bobcat Hockey, Super Talk 1270, KLXX-AM, andworldwide at BismarckBobcats.com via B2 Networks. Tuesday's pre-game show getsunderway at 3:35 PM.
