Omaha Lancers News Release

Dakota Eveland notched two goals and Troy Power registered the game-winning goal as the Omaha Lancers staved off elimination Thursday evening with a 6-2 victory over the Fargo Force in Game 4 of the West Division Finals. Decisive Game 5 of the series will now be played Saturday evening back at the Omaha Civic Auditorium. Tickets for Saturday's Game 5 will go on sale tomorrow morning at 10 AM through the Qwest Center Box Office and Ticketmaster.

The Lancers wasted little time grabbing an early lead as just 65 seconds into the contest Greg Wolfe received a perfect cross-crease pass from Troy Power in burying his fourth goal of the postseason. Dakota Eveland earned the secondary assist on Omaha's fourth first goal of the 2010 Clark Cup playoffs. The Lancers extended their lead to 2-0 just five and a half minutes later when, while shorthanded, Seth Ambroz broke out in a two-on-one along the left wing before sending a perfect cross-ice pass to Eveland who made no mistake in chipping in his second goal of the playoffs. Dennis Brown earned the secondary assist on Omaha's second shorthanded marker of the 2010 Clark Cup playoffs. Fargo made its first trip to the scoreboard with just under six minutes left in the period when Chad Demers fired a wrist shot from the right wing, which grazed off the left arm of Omaha's Jeff Teglia before rolling over the goal line.

Omaha then ran away with the contest in the second period when the Lancers scored three unanswered goals in the middle frame to take a 5-1 lead through two periods. First, Power wrapped his second goal of the playoffs inside the right post with an assist from Wolfe 7:14 into the period. Then, in the midst of a bad Fargo line change, Ryan Daugherty found himself along on a blue line breakaway before sending his first goal of the playoffs right between the pads of Fargo's Ryan Massa. Tom Craig grabbed the only assist on the even strength marker tallied 15:59 into the middle stanza. Finally, Matt White punched in his fourth goal of the playoffs 18:44 into the second period after brilliants set-ups from Daugherty and Erik Haula.

The two sides traded goals in the final period en route to Omaha's victory. Fargo's Matt Leitner scored his sixth goal of the playoffs 6:11 into the final period on a two-on-one with Chase Grant before Eveland sealed the contest with an empty net goal from Wolfe 14:20 into the period.

Teglia earned the victory in goal for Omaha after turning aside 18 saves on 20 Fargo shots. The Lancers netminder is now 5-2 this postseason. Meanwhile, Massa fell to 5-2 as well in these playoffs after just 18 saves on 23 Omaha shots.

The Lancers are back in action Saturday evening when they return to the Omaha Civic Auditorium for Game 5 of the West Division Finals.
