
Oliver Lafayette Signs With The Boston Celtics

Fort Wayne, IN (April 15, 2010)- The Boston Celtics announced yesterday that they have signed Mad Ants point guard Oliver Lafayette.
Lafayette saw 21 minutes of action last night in the Celtics final home game of the regular season against the Milwaukee Bucks. He highlighted his first NBA game of his career with 7 points 4 rebounds and 3 assists.
Lafayette averaged 17.1 points and 6.5 assist per game for the Mad Ants this season. He started in 42 of his 48 games and hit his stride the last month of the season, averaging 24.3 points per game in the team's final 10 games including four 30+ point performances.
Lafayette joins former Mad Ants teammates Rob Kurz (Chicago Bulls) and Chris Hunter (Golden State Warriors) in the NBA ranks.
The Celtics have qualified for the NBA playoffs and will face the Miami Heat in the first round.
