
Wildcats head for semi-finals after 4-1 series win

The Moncton Wildcats moved on to the semi-final round of the QMJHL playoffs after downing the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies 3-1 in game 5 Saturday night, taking the series 4 games to 1.
The Cats had a 1-0 lead after the first period; the middle frame was scoreless with Moncton adding a pair in the third after the Huskies had narrowed the margin to 2-1 at the four minute mark of the final period.
Randy Cameron, Gabriel Bourque and Daniel Pettersson were the goal scorers for the Wildcats while Steven Delisle got the lone Huskies counter.
Shots on goal were 27-18 for the Wildcats, who went 1 for 3 on the power play while the Huskies were 0 for 4.
Moncton will now meet Drummondville in the semi-finals which is expected to start Friday night in Drummondville.
