Redbirds Release 2010 Promotional Schedule

MEMPHIS, TN - As Opening Day approaches, the Memphis Redbirds are eager to introduce their 2010 promotional schedule.

There are several giveaways on hand for the season. Redbirds magnet schedules go to the first 5,000 fans April 17, courtesy of Riceland Rice. There will be a team card set giveaway on July 2. On Thursday, July 8, the first 2,000 fans will receive a replica 2009 PCL Championship ring, presented by Pickler Wealth Advisors. For Rockey's birthday on July 25, there is a dinette set giveaway sponsored by US Foodservice and for Earth Day, presented by MLGW and Waste Management, there will be two giveaways of a water bottle from Waste Management and a light bulb from MLGW.

AutoZone Park will feature 14 post-game fireworks shows, the most ever in AutoZone Park history. Sunday, May 16, is Pink in the Park/Breast Cancer Awareness Day presented by Kroger with a pink game-worn jersey auction to follow the game. Bark in the Ballpark is June 13 presented by King Cotton, Little Stinkers Pet Waste, Invisible Fence and Browndog Lodge. The day includes an appearance by Jake the Diamond Dog, free admission for dogs with paid owner and dollar hot dogs.

Daily promotions also fill the 2010 calendar that supports the Memphis Redbirds fun, affordable, family atmosphere. On Tuesday, fans can bring in a KRAFT Singles package wrapper to the ticket window for a Buy One Ticket Get One Free from KRAFT Singles or bring five canned food items to help Kroger Strike Out Hunger and receive a free bluff ticket or a five dollar credit. Every Wednesday night is Ladies Night at AutoZone Park, presented by Mona Spa. The Mug Club presented by BB King's and Kooky Canuck meets every Thursday. Weekends at AutoZone Park include, Signature Saturdays, Delta Dental Smile Sundays where kids are given a free hygiene packet on entrance and kids are also able to run the bases every Sunday, led by the members of Rockey's Kids Club presented by Sonic Drive-Ins.

The Redbirds begin the defense of their PCL Championship title with an eight-game road trip against the Omaha Royals and the Iowa Cubs from April 8-15 before the team returns home for Opening Weekend on Friday, April 16 versus the Oklahoma City RedHawks.
