67's Take Down Sudbury in Regular Season Finale

Yesterday's game was very special for a handful of reasons, but most importantly because our boys pulled out a tough win against a talented Sudbury team. The Wolves jumped out to an early lead scoring only thirty-three seconds into the game, before Cowick scored two unanswered goals in the 2nd period. Sudbury came back late in the 3rd only to have their dreams crushed by a Nesbitt goal just over 2 minutes into the overtime period, sending the crowd home happy!

The first intermission featured the SoftTub beach Ball Battle. This competition pitted 3 couples against each other in a race against the clock, and each other. But the real competition didn't start until the 2nd intermission when four contestants faced off against each other in the Mortgage Brokers Ottawa Million Dollar Shootout! These four competitors each got a shot, literally, at a million dollars. Unfortunately for our competitors no one walked away with a cool million, but they did all walk away with smiles on their faces and new high definition televisions, not a bad consolation prize! Thanks to Frank Napolitano and everyone else at Mortgage Brokers Ottawa for making the Million Dollar Shootout a reality.

This was the last regular season game for the 67's, but make sure to keep supporting them as they march towards the Memorial Cup. Be there as our team takes on the Niagara Ice Dogs in their first playoff game, Friday March 19 at 7:30 pm. Keep an eye out for the ITS team as we'll be writing to you, as always, from "In The Stands"!
