NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (February 23)- There is never any doubt that when the Texas Brahmas and Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs faceoff on the ice that entertainment will ensue in a tight game, and it was just that Tuesday night as the Brahmas fell 4-2 on the road against the Mudbugs.

The game began with the advantage to the team from the west in the I-20 rivalry when a one timer from the point by Ross Rouleau at the 18:55 mark beat John DeCaro on powerplay. Texas took a 2-0 lead when a shot by Tyrell Mason was ultimately deflected by Matt Burto over DeCaro midway in the second period. The Mudbugs were able to get on the board with a powerplay goal four minutes later when Jeff Kyrzakos beat the CHL's reigning Goaltender of the Week, Brett Jaeger.

Things began the Mudbugs way forty-five seconds into the third as Bossier evened the score with a second Kyrzakos goal. The 'Bugs continued to buzz in the final period and were able to gain their first lead of the game when Jim Jorgensen earned his first goal in a Mudbugs sweater on the powerplay a couple minutes later.

In the final minutes of the game forward Shawn Limpright charged toward Jaeger's net when a Bossier powerplay expired and tallied the 'Bugs fourth goal for a little breathing room in the tight game. Texas recorded just four shots on goal in the third period and were handed their second straight loss on the road.

On Friday the Brahmas look to turn things around when they return home to face the Corpus Christi IceRays on Mini Stick Night at 7:05 PM. The first 1000 fans at the NYTEX Sports Centre will receive a free Brahmas mini stick courtesy of Advantage Property Inspections.
