Moncton Wildcats News Release
The Moncton Wildcats took a 1-0 lead at 4:30 of the first period and never look back, going on to defeat the Acadie-Bathurst Titan 4-2 on Saturday night at the K.C. Irving Regional Centre.
It was 3-1 for the Cats after the first, the middle period was scoreless and the team's exchanged goals in the final 20 minutes.
Ted Stephens had a pair for Moncton, Kirill Kabanov and Devon MacAusland added singles. Danny Chiasson and David Gilbert were the Titan goal getters.
The Wildcats were 2 for 4 on the power play and out shot Bathurst 34-22.
Moncton wraps up three games in three days when they face Shawinigan at the Coliseum tomorrow afternoon at 4.
