Connecticut Sun Seeking Summer Interns

UNCASVILLE, Conn. (February 19, 2010) - The Connecticut Sun is now accepting applications for summer interns. These internships will run from May through August. Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university as sophomores, juniors, seniors or graduate students.

Candidates must be outgoing and energetic professionals who are self-motivated, organized and detail oriented. Interns will be responsible for assisting with all home game operations, team events, community appearances, Connecticut Sun Foundation fundraisers and special front office projects. Specifically, all interns will be responsible for executing various roles during Sun home games including customer service, in-game entertainment and promotions, media relations and game operations.

Candidates must have strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to meet deadlines and balance multiple tasks as well as work effectively in a team environment. All interns must be available for all home games and select special events. No financial compensation is available and course credit may be available based on degree requirements and administrator approval.
