Boston area sports personality Butch Stearns will be the host of the Brockton Rox' Hot Stove Banquet, taking place on Friday, February 26 at 6:00 p.m. at the Shaw's Center.
Stearns, currently the host of WEEI Radio's Sunday afternoon show, has been a fixture in the region's sports scene for years. Well-known as Fox 25's head sports anchor from 2002 to 2009, he also spent time as WABU's field reporter for their telecasts of Boston Red Sox games, and has worked for NESN and Comcast Sportsnet New England. Stearns also broadcasted for sports radio and television stations in Minneapolis/St. Paul and Detroit.
A graduate of Stonehill College, Stearns is a native of Braintree.
