Extreme Continue to Bulk Up 2010 Roster

BLOOMINGTON (Ill.) - The Bloomington Extreme announces the signings of Defensive Lineman, Jorrie Adams, Jon Kowalshen, Dolado Adubifa, and Offensive Lineman Joe Nicklasch.

Jorrie Adams, 6'7" 280 lbs. - Defensive Lineman from Texas A&M University was the #1 offensive lineman and #8 overall recruit as rated by Rivals.com coming out of high school. He received scholarship offers from LSU, Texas, Miami, Florida, Penn St., Arkansas, and Oklahoma prior to selecting Texas A&M. Adams was timed at 4.85 in the 40 yard dash and prior to his freshman season with the Aggies, Adams was moved to the defensive line. As a true freshman, Adams recorded 22 tackles and 3 sacks. Adams left the university during his sophomore campaign to tend to personal issues.

Jon Kowalyshen, 6'3" 260 lbs. - Defensive Lineman from Western Illinois University was a two time Gateway All Conference selection. Kowalyshen has played professionally with the Sioux City Bandits of the IFL, Chicago Slaughter and Rock River Raptors of the CIFL. Kowalyshen was named to the 2007 CIFL 1st team as a defensive lineman with the Chicago Slaughter. Last season with the Rock River Raptors, Kowalyshen led the CIFL with 12 sacks, including 4 in one game.

Dolapo Adubifa, 6'2" 260 lbs. - Defensive Lineman from Southern Illinois University will begin his first season playing professionally. The 22 year old from Kankakee, IL played in 34 games as a Saluki, recording 59 tackles. Adubifa collected 28 tackles, with 2.5 for loss, and 1.5 sacks during his senior season.

Joe Niklasch, 6'3" 290 lbs. - Offensive Lineman will enter his second season as a member of the Extreme. He spent four years at Illinois State University, starting the vast majority of games while playing for the Redbirds. The Menomonee Falls, WI native received Honorable Mention All-Missouri Valley honors during his senior season at Illinois State.

"The addition of these four linemen adds to the already impressive amount of talent we've compiled on our defensive and offensive lines. Jorrie is an incredible physical specimen with a desire to succeed. Niklasch was a consistent performer for us on the offensive line last season and we look for him to continue with that in 2010." Head Coach Kenton Carr added, "Kowalyshen has put up good sack numbers everywhere he has played and brings a wealth of experience to our team. Adubifa is a young, high energy guy with a lot of upside. I'm looking forward to seeing them all compete during camp and perform well all season long."

The Bloomington Extreme will play seven home games at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum in 2010. The regular season kicks off March 6 at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum as the Extreme will host the expansion Richmond (VA.) Revolution. The 2010 Extreme finished with a 10-5 record, making their third straight playoff appearance in the franchises four year history. Season Tickets are on sale now, call 309.434.2658.
