Wranglers Bernhardt and Orpik Recalled to San Antonio

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers(r) announced today that center Justin Bernhardt and forward Andrew Orpik have been recalled to the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League.

Bernhardt, 21, returns to San Antonio, where he has played in twelve games and earned two points with one goal and one assist. During his 17-game tenure with Las Vegas, Bernhardt has scored three goals and added four assists. In 301 career WHL games with Prince Albert, Kelowna and Regina, the Yorktown, SK, native totaled 242 points, scoring 103 goals and contributing 139 assists from 2003-2009.

Orpik, 23, heads back to the Rampage after tallying nine goals and 11 assists in 26 games with Las Vegas this season. In his previous 11-game stint with San Antonio, Orpik added two assists. While attending Boston College (NCAA), the East Amherst, NY, native scored 18 goals and added 29 assists for a total of 47 points in 155 games. Orpik was a seventh round draft pick (227th overall) of the Buffalo Sabres in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. He signed with San Antonio in August of 2009.

The Wranglers will host the Bakersfield Condors at 7:05 PM Friday night at the Orleans Arena. The team will then travel to Bakersfield on Saturday, February 13th, at 7:00 PM to face-off with the Condors for the second consecutive night.
