(Boise, ID) - Rookie forward Michael Neal has been recalled by the AHL's Texas Stars and will not be with the Steelheads this weekend when they host the Utah Grizzlies.

Neal, 20, began the season with Texas before being assigned to Idaho. He was briefly recalled to the Stars last month as well.

In 42 games with Idaho, Neal has four goals and nine assists. He has three career two-point games, each coming at Qwest Arena (10/17 vs. Stockton, 11/18 vs. Victoria, and 1/22 vs. Las Vegas). He has appeared in four games this season with Texas.

Texas (AHL) and Idaho (ECHL) are the primary development affiliates of the NHL's Dallas Stars.

Idaho hosts the Utah Grizzlies Friday, and Saturday at Qwest Arena as part of Saint Luke's Prostrate Cancer Awareness Week with the Steelheads. The team will be wearing special light-blue jerseys that will be auctioned off to raise money for Saint Luke's Mountain States Tumor Institute. Tickets are available at the Qwest Arena box office or by calling 208.331.TIXS. Group outings are a great way to get friends, family, co-workers, or colleagues together to enjoy a night out at great savings over walk-up ticket prices. Contact the Steelheads front office at 208.383.0080 or log on to www.idahosteelheads.com for more information.
