Tri-City ValleyCats News Release
TROY, N.Y. - The RPI Men's Hockey team will have a little extra support in the building this Friday as they host their North Country-rivals from St. Lawrence. On February 5th, the ValleyCats top mascot line of SouthPaw, Pappy SouthPaw, Zoggy, Ribbie and Bad Bunny will join RPI Hockey's Puckman in rooting for the Engineers during this 7 pm game at the Houston Field House. SouthPaw and company have some special entertainment planned for the 2nd intermission as they transfer their antics from the diamond to the ice.
The ValleyCats will be on hand throughout the night to promote the upcoming baseball season with a booth on the arena concourse. SouthPaw will be available for pictures and fans will have the opportunity to win a variety of promotional giveaways.
This game kicks off an important weekend of hockey for the Engineers as they trail the 4th place Saints by just three points in the ECAC standings. They are home again on Saturday to take on the Clarkson Golden Knights with the puck dropping at 7 pm for that game, as well.
ValleyCats season tickets, flex plans, group outings, and sponsorship packages are available now. Information will be available at this Friday's RPI game, by calling (518) 629-CATS, or logging onto the web at www.tcvalleycats.com.
