Bombers' 2010 Schedule Announced

WINNIPEG, MB - Today, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, in conjunction with the Canadian Football League, released their 2010 schedule.
"The announcement of the CFL schedule is always an exciting time and we are very pleased with how it turned out for our club," said Jim Bell, Interim President of the Winnipeg Football Club.
"Once again, Friday night's dominate our schedule at home. Overall, we are thrilled with how it turned out and look forward to celebrating our 80th anniversary with our fans."
The Blue Bombers open the pre-season against the Montreal Alouettes on Sunday, June 13 at Canad Inns Stadium.
The Blue and Gold will host their first two regular season games of the 2010 season, both on Friday night's. They open the 2010 campaign Friday, July 2 against Hamilton, followed by a matchup with the Toronto Argonauts at Canad Inns Stadium a week later, on July 9.
Winnipeg's first road game is Friday, July 16 when they travel to Hamilton to battle the Ti-Cats for the second time in three weeks.
The Blue Bombers will host five Friday night games, two Saturday games, one Sunday afternoon contest and the Thanksgiving game on Monday, October 11 vs B.C.
Winnipeg will play three regular season games against the 2009 Grey Cup Champion Montreal Alouettes, the first being Thursday August 19 in Montreal.
Of course, one date to circle on the calendar is the Manitoba Lotteries Banjo Bowl, taking place on Sunday, Sept. 12. Always a classic, the Banjo Bowl is the second game of the home-and-home with the rival Saskatchewan Roughriders.
The regular season closes Friday, November 5 at home when the Blue Bombers host Calgary Stampeders.
