Trenton Thunder News Release
(Trenton, NJ) - The Trenton Thunder, the Double-A Affiliate of the New York Yankees, have donated 568 tickets to the Children's Home Society of New Jersey through the support of its fans this holiday season. In its fifth year of existence, the team's annual "Gift of Baseball" program has raised a total of 3,256 tickets for the Children's Home Society.
For each Season Ticket, Half Season Ticket, Mini Ticket Package, Pic-A-Plan and Holiday Gift Pack purchased between November 23 and December 21, the Thunder provided tickets for one family to attend a game. Each of the families who received the tickets are part of the Holiday Gift Outreach program run by Children's Home Society.
"Our fans and corporate partners deserve a big "thank you" for buying ticket packages this month. They have helped us give some local families who might not ordinarily be able to visit us a chance to enjoy the Thunder experience," said Thunder General Manager Will Smith.
The Children's Home Society of New Jersey provides at-risk children and their families with a range of services that empower them to achieve their potential. They are child-oriented, family focused, community based, and outcome-oriented.
Thunder season tickets, half season tickets, Mini Plans and Pic-A-Plans for the 2010 season are on sale now by calling 609-394-3300 or visiting www.trentonthunder.com. Trenton begins its 2010 season by hosting the Erie Sea Wolves (Double-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers) on Thursday April 8th. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m.
