Ports Announce 2010 Regular Season Game Times

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Ports, 11-time champions of the California League, are excited to unveil their 2010 regular season game time schedule. All baseball fans are invited to follow the Ports next season, as the organization will embark on their 61st season of professional baseball and their sixth season at Banner Island Ballpark.
The Ports will open the season at home on Thursday, April 15 against Visalia at 7:05 p.m.
The Ports will host day games starting at 11:05 a.m. on Tuesday, April 20, Wednesday, May 12 and Tuesday, June 28. The Ports will look forward to hosting area students at the April 20 and May 12 games as part of their Education Days program. The Ports will host Kids Day on June 28.
On April 18, May 2, May 23 and June 13, the Ports will begin their games at 2:05 p.m. The last four Sunday home games of the season-July 18, August 1, August 8 and August 29-will all begin at 6:05 p.m.
All other games at Banner Island Ballpark will begin at 7:05 p.m.
For the first time in several seasons, the Ports will be home on Sunday, July 4, taking on the Modesto Nuts starting at 7:05 p.m. The organization is highly excited to celebrate the nation's birthday by hosting an Independence Day Celebration at the ballpark.
"We anticipate another great year of Ports baseball in 2010, and are excited to inform our fans about the game time schedule for next season," said Ports President and General Manager Pat Filippone. "We've had a great season in 2009, from introducing upgrades to the stadium to welcoming our one-millionth fan in ballpark history. We look forward to presenting our fans with more fun, affordable family entertainment in 2010."
The Ports will have nine home games in April, 16 home dates in May, 13 games at home in June, 17 games at home in July and 15 home games in August. Among the home dates are 31 weekend games, and 39 weekday games.
Ports fans will be excited to see that several great rivalry match-ups are scheduled to be hosted at Banner Island Ballpark this season. Fans can catch their favorite Oakland A's affiliate take on their archrival, the San Jose Giants, at home from May 4-6, May 26-29, July 7-9, and in the final series of the season from August 27-30. Fans can cheer on the Ports as the club competes against neighboring Modesto at Banner Island Ballpark from May 11-13, June 11-13, July 4-6, July 30-August 1, and August 24-26.
