Congrats to Gormley and Stephens:
Two members of the Wildcats have reason to celebrate. Defenseman Brandon Gormley has been invited, along with 35 other players, to attend the selection camp for Canada's National Junior team later this month in Regina. Gormley, the Cats first over all pick in the 2008 QMJHL draft has participated in five international tournaments, the more recent was last month's Super Series against Team Russia.
Last Friday night, Wildcats centre Ted Stephens was named the Yukon's National Male Athlete of the Year. Teddy has been nominated for the award for the second consecutive year. His parents, Sue and Jim attended the ceremony in Whitehorse and accepted the Award on Ted's behalf. In his third year with the Wildcats, Stephens has 8 goals and 6 assists in 19 games this season.
Heartiest congratulations to the two great young hockey players who wear the Wildcats jersey.
Fans praise Art on Ice creativity:
Fans at Tuesday night's game against Lewiston got their first look at the Art on Ice creations displayed on the Coliseum's Mezzanine floor. They were long and loud in the praise of the creativity of the elementary students at the five participating schools in District 2. The program, developed by District 2 Community Schools and supported by the Wildcats has 37 pieces of art with varying themes. The Art on Ice works will be displayed at the Coliseum at all home games including the big New Year's Eve game against the Saint John Sea Dogs. Some of the pieces will also be displayed in businesses in Downtown Moncton. There will be a silent auction for the Art work with the funds supporting various school programs.
Gatineau in town tomorrow night:
The always tough Gatineau Olympiques visit the Coliseum tomorrow night for a 7 o'clock encounter with the Wildcats. The Olympiques are on a four game swing through the Maritimes. They're in a battle with the Wildcats for eighth place in the League standings. The game sponsor is Midland. There'll be loads of great prizes.
A reminder of the big game on December 13th as the Rivalry Cup competition with the Saint John Sea Dogs heats up. It's also Skate with the Cats Sunday.
Wildcats blankets now at the Roar Store::
It's one of the most creative Christmas gifts ever. The Wildcats blanket and it's available at the Roar Store. Look for the display of the Cat in the Roar Store window by the entrance to the Wildcats office. You can shop at the Roar Store Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 11 to 2 and special Saturday hours of 11 to 4 right up to Christmas.

Prostate Cancer Canada has another thousand dollars to go to research as the result of the Wildcats Movember campaign. With the "tasches" totally grown and the donations counted, the smiles were a hockey stick long. Great work by all the people involved in helping this very worthy cause.
Legends closed for tomorrow's game:
Due to a private booking, Legends Restaurant will be closed for Friday's game but beverage service will be available in the downstairs lounge.
Cat of the Day:
The Wesleyan Church's Living Christmas Tree get a salute from the Wildcats today. The annual production which portrays the true meaning of the season, attracts thousands each year. It is one of the areas "must see" events and runs until this Sunday, December 6th.
