Waterloo, Iowa-There won't be any pre-dawn lines or ten dollar flat-screen televisions, but Party Town Outfitters, the Waterloo Black Hawks merchandise store, will be open Friday from 10AM to 2PM with special deals for anyone who has a Black Hawk fan on their Christmas shopping list.
"We don't want to get too crazy with the day-after-Thanksgiving shopping," said Black Hawks Vice President of Business Operations Shawna Rowe, "but since a lot of people have Black Hawks hats, jackets, and souvenirs on their Christmas lists, we wanted to make sure everyone had a chance to come in and see the store.
In addition to "door-buster"-like prices on some items, fans can shop elbow-to-elbow with Black Hawks players. From 10AM until noon, several Black Hawks players will be in the store on the Young Arena concourse to meet shoppers, sign autographs, and let fans know what Black Hawks gear they'll be buying for friends and family this Christmas. For those still not sure what would make the best present, gift certificates, which can be used at Party Town Outfitters or the Waterloo Black Hawks box office, are always available.
If you can't make it to the Arena Friday, visit Milroy's Tuxedos in Crossroads Shopping Center. Throughout the holiday season, Milroy's will be offering a limited selection of Black Hawks gear at their convenient location on the lower level inside the southwest entrance at the mall.
