Pensacola Ice Flyers News Release
For the second straight night the Ice Flyers came up short in Fayetteville. After losing 4-1 on Friday night, the Ice Flyers lost to the FireAntz 1-0 on Saturday. Despite Ryan Scott's 37 saves, the Ice Flyers offense couldn't produce and the Ice Flyers' record fell to 6-4.
Fayetteville scored the games only goal with a power play strike 15:49 into the first period. Lawne Snyder slipped the puck past Ice Flyers' goalie Ryan Scott to give the FireAntz the advantage, while Brett Needham and Sean Cryer were credited with assists.
The Ice Flyers pushed the shot advantage to their favor by the second intermission, but the score remained 1-0 Fayetteville at the start of the third period. Pensacola could do no better in the final period, and the 1-0 Fayetteville lead held, giving the FireAntz their second straight victory over the Ice Flyers in as many days.
The Ice Flyers will return home on Friday, November 27 at 7:05 p.m. to take on the Mississippi Surge. As part of Military Appreciation night the Ice Flyers will be welcoming all fans with a military I.D. to Friday's game at a discounted price.
