MCNEILL JOINS KNIGHTS: The London Knights have recalled Reid McNeill from the London Nationals permantly...McNeill, 17 had been going back and forth since the start of the 2009-2010 season....McNeill played for Lucas High School in London last season...He is a native of London, Ontario....

KNIGHTS PLAY 3 IN 3

The London Knights played in their first three-games in three-nights roadtrip this weekend. The Knights travelled to Kitchener, Saginaw and Sault Ste. Marie to play three Western Conference rivals. For the first time this season the Knights lost in back to back games. They finished the weekend with a record of 1 win and 2 losses ranking them fourth in the Western Conference.

KNIGHTS@ KITCHENER- FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 13, 2009

The second place Kitchener Rangers hosted the London Knights in their 1st meeting of the season. The Rangers opened the first period scoring with their first shot on goal. Michael Catenacci beat Michael Hutchinson with his 6th of the season from Brandon Morris and Jeremy Morrin at 6:11. The rest of the period remained scoreless. London Knight, Jared Knight capitalized on the power play at 5:48 of the second period. Nazem Kadri and Philip McRae assisted. The Rangers took advantage of the power play at 13:58 as Jeff Skinner scored his 15th of the year from Chris MacKinnon and John Moore. Knights captain Justin Taylor tied the game with his 8th of the season from Michael D'Orazio and and Michael MacDonald at the 15:38 mark of the second. The Rangers responded with two unanswered goals before the buzzer. The first came from Tyler Randell at 17:48. Ryan Murphy assisted. Kitchener forward Chris MacKinnon scored on the power play with 24 seconds left from Patrik Andersson and Jeff Skinner. Shots on goal in the second period were even (10-10). Andrew Crescenzi scored his first Ontaio Hockey League goal at the halfway mark of the third period. Shane Prince and Patrik Andersson added assists. London came out strong in the last two minutes of the game with two shorthanded goals. Justin Taylor scored his second of the game shorthanded from Philip McRae and Steven Tarasuk at 18:36. Knights defenceman, Steven Tarasuk scored shorthanded with 29 seconds left to make it a one goal game. Kitchener's Jeff Skinner scored his second of the game, an empty net goal at 19:55 to seal the 6-4 win.

Rangers goaltender Brandon Maxwell carried the team to its 6-4 win. He faced 41 shots while Michael Hutchinson faced 29. The Knights went 1-for-5 on the power play and the Rangers went 3-for-9.

KNIGHTS @ SAGINAW-SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 14, 2009-Dow Event Center

The Saginaw Spirit hosted the London Knights on Saturday November 14th at the Dow Event Center. Despite outshooting the Spirit 40-25, the Knights fell 3-2. This put Saginaw ahead of the Knights by 1 point in the Western Conference ranking.

Jordan Skellett beat Knights rookie goaltender, Michael Houser, with his 11th of the season from Jordan Swarz and Joe Pleckaitis at 9:48 of the first period. Ivan Telegin scored his 16th from Nick Trecapelli and Jordan Skellettat 8:42. Saginaw's Jordan Swarz added to the Spirit lead by adding a late second period goal from Jordan Skellett. The Knights found the back of the net twice, late in the third period. Knights forward, Colin Martin scored on the power play late in the third period with assists from Matt Ashman and Leigh Salters. At 19:35, London defenceman Matt Ashman scored his first goal of the season from Nazem Kadri and Colin Martin. Saginaw held the Knights to a final of 3-2.

The Knights went 1-for-9 on the power play and Saginaw went 0-for-4.

KNIGHTS @ SAULT STE. MARIE- SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 2009-Essar Centre

The London Knights travelled to Sault Ste Marie on Sunday November 15th to play in their third road game in three days. The Knights came out strong in the first period and recorded 2 early goals. Nazem Kadri found the back of the net at 5:06. Kalle Ekelund and Steven Tarasuk added assists. Shortly after, Justin Taylor scored his 10th of the season from Leigh Salters and Dominic DeSando. Greyhounds forward Jordan Nolan beat Michael Hutchinson on the power play at 17:53. Vern Cooper and Jacob Muzzin added the assists. Jared Knight of the London Knights scored the lone goal of the second period at 0:44 from Leigh Salters and Dominic DeSando. Greyhounds forward, Vern Cooper scored his 10th of the season from Jacob Muzzin and Jordan Nolan late in the third period to cut the lead to 1. The Knights held on to 3-2 lead for the remainder of the game.

Knights goaltender Michael Hutchinson faced 32 shots while Soo netminder Robin Lehner faced 20. The Knights went 0-for-5 on the power play and Sault Ste. Marie went 1-for-6.
