The Manitoba Moose today announced they have released centre Darryl Smith from his professional tryout contract.Smith, 22, appeared in one game with the Moose since his recall on Nov. 4/09. He started the season with the Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League where he appeared in six games. In that span with the Bucks, he scored nine points (4g & 5a) and eight penalty minutes. The St. Catherines, ON native played in 60 games with Laredo last season where he accumulated 70 points (36g & 34a) and 48 penalty minutes.
