November 5, 2009 - National Lacrosse League (NLL) Calgary Roughnecks

CALGARY, AB - Calgary Roughnecks President and General Manager Brad Banister announced today that the club has signed defenceman Mike Carnegie to a two-year deal. Terms of the deal were not disclosed and are subject to league approval.

The native of London, Ontario tallied four points, including a goal and three assists in 16 games for the Calgary Roughnecks last season. The five-foot-ten, 192-pound d-man also collected 78 loose balls and put up nine penalty minutes in that time.

The 25-year-old, who is the older brother to teammate Scott Carnegie, also notched three points (1g,2a), including a game winning goal during the team's playoff stretch last season.

The Calgary Roughnecks and Edmonton Rush are scheduled to hit Lethbridge's ENMAX Centre on Saturday, December 19th for an exhilarating exhibition matchup. Game time is 7:30 p.m. MST.

The Roughnecks kick-off the 2010 regular season on Sunday, January 10th at the Pengrowth Saddledome against the Minnesota Swarm.

Calgary Roughnecks season tickets are on sale now. Call the Calgary Roughnecks office at (403) 294-9244 to find out more information or purchase your tickets.
