The Williamsport Crosscutters, in association with ESPN Radio Williamsport and The Genetti Hotel, will be holding a Phillies World Series Party Wednesday, October 28 at 7pm in conjunction with Game 1 of the World Series. The party will be held in the Grand Ballroom of The Genetti and feature the game shown on multiple big screens provided by Mark's Sales & Leasing.Cutters Vice President of Marketing & Public Relations, Gabe Sinicropi stated, "Last year's party was a huge hit with a standing-room only crowd so we expect this year to be no different. We have a fun night planned and hope that fans will come out and bring their family and friends and help cheer our parent club, the Philadelphia Phillies, to a 2nd straight championship."
Some of the events planned include; Phillies Trivia before the game to win great prizes, and free prize giveaways every inning during the game including baseball's autographed by hall-of-famers Goose Gossage and Jim Rice.
Admission is free and includes free snacks, complimentary gifts for all attendees and tickets for all other prize giveaways. In addition, the Genetti will offer selected food for sale along with a cash bar.
The 2009 season marked the debut of the first former Cutter to appear with the Phillies since the affiliation with Philadelphia began in 2007. LHP Sergio Escalona, who pitched for Williamsport in '07, appeared in 14 big-league games for the Phillies going 1-0 with a 4.26 ERA.
