
Mercury Battles For Title In Decisive Game 5 On Friday

The Mercury will face the Indiana Fever in a decisive Game 5 of the WNBA Finals on Friday, Oct. 9 at 6 p.m. at US Airways Center. Doors open to the general public at 4:45 p.m.
The Mercury tied the series 2-2 with a 90-77 win over the Fever in Game 4 on Wednesday in Indiana. The teams each hold one victory and one loss on their respective home courts. Friday's game will determine the 2009 league champion.
Phoenix makes its third Finals appearance all-time and second showing in three seasons. The 2007 Mercury club defeated the Detroit Shock in five games in the 2007 WNBA Finals, bringing the Valley its first professional basketball championship.
A limited number of lower level seats remain. All upper level tickets, courtesy of the Suns' Captains, are sold out. Fans can purchase remaining lower level tickets by calling 602-252-WNBA or visiting phoenixmercury.com.
Fans can also catch the action by tuning into ESPN2 or KTAR 620AM. Gambo & Ash will broadcast live from the arena beginning at 1 p.m. The game can be heard in its entirety starting at 6 p.m.
