Houston Dynamo FC News Release

HOUSTON, TX (Tuesday, October 6, 2009) -- Less than 10,000 tickets remain for the Houston Dynamo's much anticipated Western Conference showdown against the Los Angeles Galaxy on October 18, it was announced today. At the match, presented by Amigo Energy, the first 5,000 fans will receive a free replica-style jersey. Tickets are available at HoustonDynamo.com and all Ticketmaster outlets.

In each of the last two years, a sellout crowd of more than 30,000 fans attended the Dynamo's home game against the Galaxy, including last year's 3-0 Houston win that clinched first place in the Western Conference. The Galaxy are led by All-Star forward Landon Donovan and English midfielder David Beckham.

"This is probably the most important regular-season game we've played, as we battle for the Western Conference title and home-field advantage in the playoffs," Dynamo Chief Operating Officer Chris Canetti said. "The excitement has escalated over the past couple of days. The game is less than two weeks out, and the anticipation of both David Beckham and Landon Donovan coming to Houston, along with the importance of the match, has created a real buzz."

The Dynamo are next in action on Sunday, October 11, at 6:00 p.m. when they face Monterrey at Robertson Stadium in the inaugural Dynamo Charities Cup.

The Houston Dynamo are a Major League Soccer franchise that has won two MLS Cup championships in its first three seasons and qualified to represent the United States in four consecutive regional championships.
