ECHL's Florida Advances To Elite Eight In The Hockey News Jersey Rankings
September 21, 2009 - ECHL (ECHL) News Release
The Florida Everblades have advanced to the Elite Eight in the
The Hockey News' Jersey Rankings and Tournament.
The Premier 'AA' Hockey League is the only minor professional league
remaining from the field of 135 teams in 15 leagues and only the National
Hockey League advanced more teams to the final 16.
Florida edged fellow ECHL team Stockton by less than one percent of the popular vote and now faces the Chicago Blackhawks.
Kalamazoo of the ECHL was eliminated by the London Knights while the Toledo Walleye lost to last year's champion Montreal.
Fans can vote until 9 a.m. on Thursday to determine which teams advance to
the Final Four in the single-elimination bracket.
Each week voting will determine who moves on until an ultimate champion has
been determined.
