Huntsville Havoc News Release
HUNTSVILLE, AL - The Huntsville Havoc will host the 1st Annual Sharp Communication Police and Fire Appreciation Night on Saturday, November 28th against the Knoxville Ice Bears on CenturyTel Ice at the Von Braun Center. Game time is 7:30pm.
The event was created to raise awareness, appreciation, and money for both the Huntsville Police and Fire Departments and the charities of their choice. Proceeds from year one will benefit the Police Department and the Fallen Officers Memorial Fund. Proceeds from year two will go the Fire Department and the charity of their choice.
A special logo has been created for the event and a special jersey will be worn by Havoc players each year of the event. The jersey will be live auctioned immediately following the game and 100% of the proceeds will go to Fallen Officer's Memorial Fund.
Sharp Communication will be the title sponsor of the event this year and secondary sponsorships are available. The sponsors are making it possible for the Havoc to offer two complimentary tickets to every police officer and fire fighter, not just in Huntsville, but in every Police Department, Fire Department, and Sherriff's Department in Madison, Marshall, Morgan, Limestone, and Jackson counties. All departments will be contacted by the Havoc organization to arrange distribution of tickets. In addition, support personnel and support organizations, such as HEMSI and the 911 Call Center, will be given special offers of tickets in appreciation of their contributions to public safety. Also, special discounts will be offered to officers wishing to bring additional family members to the game.
Call the Havoc front office at (256) 518-6160 for more information on becoming a sponsor.
