BOWIE, Md. - The Bowie Baysox will host the 15th Central Maryland Career Fair at Prince George's Stadium on Friday, Sept. 18, from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. The biannual career fair is sponsored by The Pennysaver and presented in conjunction with Prince George's County Economic Development Corporation and Maryland Job Services. Admission for career-seekers is free!
Among the vendors already scheduled to attend is Pepco Holdings, Inc. The holding company has been a part of the Central Maryland Career Fair since its inception in 2003. According to Director of Sponsorships Matt McLaughlin, it is the Baysox long-standing relationship with the vendors that makes the career fair successful.
"We have a number of vendors that have participated in the career fair for years," said McLaughlin. "With the help of returning vendors and several new ones, we look forward to matching a record number of applicants with fulfilling, long-term employment opportunities this year."
Applicants are strongly encouraged to wear business attire. More than 1,900 individuals met face-to-face with representatives from companies in various job sectors last year. A complete listing of companies attending can be found online at www.baysox.com/career. Attendees are encouraged to check the Web site often for updates on companies scheduled to attend.
