SALT LAKE CITY (August 22, 2009) - The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim announced today that the club has optioned right-handed pitcher Sean O'Sullivan to Triple-A Salt Lake.
O'Sullivan, 21, has appeared in nine games (all starts) for the Angels in 2009, owning a 3-2 record with a 6.60 ERA with 26 strikeouts. In 12 games for the Bees this season, he owns a 6-3 record with a 5.66 ERA with 44 strikeouts. He pitched the first nine-inning no-hitter in Salt Lake franchise history on July 28 at Sacramento. The El Cajon, Calif. native was originally selected by the Angels in the third round of the 2005 draft.
