LAKE ELSINORE, Calif. - On August 7, 8 and 9, 2009, the Lake Elsinore Storm, Class-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres are hosting their 3rd Annual Go Green Weekend. The three day event will showcase all aspects of the "going green" mentality. Friday, August 7 is Energy Conservation Night sponsored by G.I.V.E., Green Institute for Village Empowerment. Saturday, August 8 brings Recycle Awareness Night with a recycle bag giveaway (to the first 2500 fans) brought to you by G.I.V.E. and Coca-Cola. Rounding out the weekend on Sunday, August 9 is Water Conservation Night with a Storm toothbrush giveaway presented by Winchester Dental Group.

Throughout the weekend you can also check out different "green" informational tables around the concourse from such companies as CR&R, Southern California Edison, Southern California Gas Company and Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District amongst others.

In addition to their scheduled events for the weekend, the Storm are offering special ticket incentives to fans:

-Bring in two incandescent light bulbs for one free box or reserved seat -Bring a utility bill/statement showing a decrease in energy/water usage and receive two free box or reserved seats -Exchange two plastic bottles/cans at the ticket windows for one free box or reserved seat
