PORTLAND, Ore. - On the heels of the celebrated 2009 Cricket Wireless Triple-A All-Star Game at PGE Park, the Portland Beavers kick-start the second half of their 2009 campaign Thursday with a four-game series against the Salt Lake Bees.Highlighting the series' list of events is Rebate Night on Saturday, featuring a Lucky piggy bank giveaway, presented by Fred Meyer, for the first 1,903 fans. Select Lucky piggy banks will include a cash prize; in total $1,000 will be distributed among the giveaway items. The first 1,000 fans Saturday also receive a water bottle courtesy of Astellas Pharma US, Inc and Donate Life.
On Friday, the Beavers play host to Star Wars Night presented by Comcast. Following the club's contest against the Bees, a movie from the classic Star Wars series will be shown on the video wall at PGE Park.
Sunday marks one of five Beavers Family 4-Pack games this season. Family 4-Packs include four Beavers game tickets, four meal vouchers, four Bullwinkle's Family Fun Center tickets and four Oregon Zoo tickets, all starting at $54. Friday, July 17 Star Wars Night - Beavers vs. Salt Lake - 7:05 p.m. Following their game against the Bees, the Beavers will show a movie from the Star Wars series on the video wall at PGE Park on Star Wars Night presented by Comcast. Throughout the night, a variety of discounted concession items will be available including $1 hot dogs, Sierra Springs water and Nestle ice cream desserts on a Comcast $1 Menu Friday.
Saturday, July 18 Rebate Night - Beavers vs. Salt Lake - 7:05 p.m. The Beavers and Bees continue their series on Rebate Night on a Fred Meyer Super Giveaway Saturday at PGE Park. The first 1,903 fans receive a Lucky piggy bank, presented by Fred Meyer, with select piggy banks containing a cash prize. Sunday, July 19 American Family Insurance Kids Sunday - Beavers vs. Salt Lake - 2:05 p.m. A four-game set against Salt Lake comes to a close on American Family Insurance Kids Sunday. Prior to the first pitch, kids can take advantage of the team's new Kids-Eat-Free plan, play catch on the field and get player autographs. After the game, kids are invited to run the bases at PGE Park, presented by Family Fun Center and Bullwinkle's Restaurant. The game will be broadcast live on FSN.
