Palm Beach Cardinals News Release
The Cardinals would not be denied tonight. Homeruns off the bat of Adron Chambers and Shane Peterson put the Birds on top. In the top of the ninth things got interesting, Adam Reifer allowed two runs that tied the game.
Chambers started off the bottom of the ninth with a single passed the Reds shortstop. A sac bunt and a ground out to first took the Cards outfielder around to third. Peterson steps to the plate with two outs, but would not drive in the run. Instead Sarasota's relief pitcher, Justin Freeman, went for the intentional walk and threw a wild pitch. Chambers scored on an intentional walk, walk-off.
The Cardinals take on the Reds tomorrow for the last game of the series and first half of the season at 7:05 PM. Don't Forget tomorrow is: Silver Sluggers Night! For a $15 membership fee, all members (55 years and older) receive a FREE ticket, hot dog, soda, and other special membership benefits at all Wednesday home games.
