
Salem Sox Hosting Blood Drive Saturday May 23

The Salem Red Sox, Advanced Class-A Affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, will be hosting the first of two blood drives for the 2009 season on Saturday, May 23 from 8:30AM to 2:30PM. The Salem Red Sox will be collaborating with The American Red Cross. Volunteers can sign up for an appointment by calling 1-800-givelife. The Salem Red Sox will have sign-up opportunities available at Salem Memorial Ballpark through Friday May 22.
To be eligible to donate participants must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and not have given blood in the past 56 days. A picture ID is required at the time of every appointment.
