Asheville, NC - The Drive (10-7) were bitten by the error bug Saturday night in their series opener with the Asheville Tourists (7-10). Greenville committed a season-high four defensive miscues which led to three unearned runs in a 6-2 loss.

Asheville took advantage of a pair of Drive errors while only recording one hit in the bottom of the second, plating two runs. Michael Almanzar collected an RBI-groundout in the fourth to cut Greenville's deficit in half.

However, in the home half of the fourth, the Tourists pulled away with three runs on four hits. Thomas Fields and Scott Robinson highlighted the inning with an RBI-single and RBI-double, respectively. Asheville scored their final run an inning later when the Drive committed two more errors.

Ryan Lavarnway accounted for the Drive's second and final run of the game, when he led off the top of the seventh with his second home run of the season.

Stolmy Pimentel (1-2) was the unlucky recipient of the Drive's lapse in defense, surrendering all six runs - three earned - over 5.0 innings. The right-hander allowed eight hits and a walk while fanning six.

Reliever Hunter Strickland held the Tourists scoreless over the game's final 3.0 innings, scattering four hits and striking out two.

The Drive and Tourists conclude their two-game set Sunday afternoon with first pitch set for 2:05 PM at McCormick Field. Right-hander Bryan Price will toe the rubber for Greenville as Ethan Hollingsworth heads to the hill for Asheville.

The Drive return home to Fluor Field on Tuesday, April 28th for four games with the Savannah Sand Gnats, affiliate of the New York Mets.
