
Wellwood Scores Overtime Winner, Spitfires Win Western Conference Championship

(Windsor) Spitfires forward Eric Wellwood scored 10:14 into overtime, leading Windsor to a 4-3 win over the London Knights and a four games to one series win in the best of seven Rogers Western Conference Championship final. The Windsor Spitfires will await the winner of the Eastern Conference Championship series between the Belleville Bulls and Brampton Battalion. Brampton currently holds a three games to one series lead.
The Spitfires also announced that tickets for the OHL Championship series will go on sale starting this Saturday at 10 am. Tickets can be purchased at the Spitfire and Firkin box office of the WFCU Centre, by phone at (519) 254-5000 ext. 1 or online at www.windsorspitfires.com.
