Utah Captain Ryan Kinasewich Returns For Playoffs

West Valley City, Utah - Utah Grizzlies Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Kevin Colley announced today that captain Ryan Kinasewich has returned to the team from the AHL's Hamilton Bulldogs.

Kinasewich was first loaned to Lake Erie on February 4 and then Hamilton on February 10. With Hamilton, he had one goal and one assist in seven games before sustaining an injury on February 22. He has been completely cleared by the Hamilton medical staff and will be on the Grizzlies playoff roster.

With Utah this year, the 25-year-old had 17 goals and 32 assists for 49 points in 32 games. He had multiple-points in 14 of his 32 games and was named the ECHL's Player of the Month for January.

Kinasewich is the lone original member of the Grizzlies from their first ECHL season in 2005-2006. In 170 games in a Utah uniform, the 25-year-old has 108 goals and 145 assists for 253 points; averaging 1.48 points-per-game.

The Grizzlies open the playoffs with a best-of-seven series against the Alaska Aces starting Friday in Anchorage. Face-off is scheduled for 9:15 p.m.
