AHL announces suspension
February 2, 2009 - American Hockey League (AHL) News Release
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. ... The American Hockey League today announced that San Antonio Rampage right wing Francis Lessard has been suspended for one (1) game as a result of his actions in a game at Worcester on Jan. 31.
Lessard was assessed an instigator penalty within the final five minutes of the third period, resulting in an automatic one-game suspension under AHL Rule 47.21.
Lessard will miss San Antonio's game Wednesday (Feb. 4) at Binghamton.
