SPURS RECALL MALIK HAIRSTON

The San Antonio Spurs announced that they have recalled Malik Hairston from the Austin Toros of the NBA D-League. Hairston is currently the fifth leading scorer in the D-League with 21.1 points per game. In 23 games for the Toros this season he has also averaged 5.4 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 40.6 minutes. Hairston was named D-League Performer of the Week on 12/22 after helping lead the Toros to three straight wins while averaging 24.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4.3 assists. He was selected by the Phoenix Suns with the 48th overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft and was acquired by San Antonio in exchange for the draft rights to Goran Dragic. He spent training camp with San Antonio where he averaged 5.3 points and 4.5 rebounds in six preseason games.

TOROS ACQUIRE JASON PARKER

The Austin Toros acquired Jason Parker from the NBA D-League player pool. Parker a 6'2" guard from the University of Tulsa, who was a second team CoSIDA Academic All-American as a senior. He has played overseas the past two seasons and is taking the place on the roster of Carldell "Squeaky" Johnson, who was waived due to injury. Parker will wear jersey #14.

SATURDAY NIGHT HIGHLIGHTS...top performers from Saturday's games

- David Bailey registered 25 points as the Sioux Falls Skyforce snapped the Iowa Energy's five-game winning streak with a 105-91 victory. He also recorded five rebounds and five assists. Kasib Powell contributed 18 points and Bobby Jones scored 16 for Sioux Falls.

- Othyus Jeffers paced the Energy with 19 points, while Courtney Sims scored 18 and Demetris Nichols had 16.

- Carl Elliott led Fort Wayne with 22 points and Chris Hunter contributed 17 points and 10 rebounds. Ron Howard also scored 17.

- Maurice Baker sparked Dakota with a game-high 23 points, while Will Frisby added 20. Richard Hendrix posted a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds.

- Pops Mensah-Bonsu scored 25 points and Ezra Williams added 24 as the Austin Toros defeated the Tulsa 66ers for the second straight night. Marcus Williams had 16 points and six assists and Serge Angounou grabbed 12 rebounds off the bench for the Toros.

- Derrick Dial, Jeremy Kelly and Gary Forbes scored 16 points apiece. Ryan Humphrey added 15 and 13 rebounds for the 66ers.

- Dominique Coleman had 24 points, nine rebounds and eight assists for Colorado, who had seven scorers in double figures for the second straight night. Josh Davis had 22 points and 12 rebounds. Eddie Gill added 20 and seven assists. Billy Thomas scored 19 and Lamar Butler added 14.

- Vipers guard Craig Winder scored a career-high 29 points. Trent Strickland followed with 25 points and seven rebounds. Alpha Bangura added 22 and Asumnu 21.

- Joe Crawford scored 24 points for the Los Angeles. Te D-Fenders had five players in double figures. Ryan Forehan-Kelly and Dwayne Mitchell had 15 points apiece. Darren Cooper and Gabriel Hughes added 14 and 10 points, respectively.

- Dwayne Jones had 16 points and a season-high 15 rebounds for the Stampede. Brent Petway and Luke Jackson each scored 13 points and Jason Ellis grabbed 17 rebounds for Idaho.

- Patrick Ewing Jr. and Damone Brown combined for 52 points and 23 rebounds as the Reno Bighorns snapped the Utah Flash's four-game winning streak. Ewing and Brown each scored 26. Gerry McNamara registered 20 points.

- Dontell Jefferson paced the Flash with 21 points, while Andre Ingram scored 16 and James Lang had 13.

- Erik Daniels racked up 22 points and 11 rebounds for Erie. Maureece Rice finished with 17 points and 13 boards for the BayHawks.

- Trey Johnson paced Bakersfield, which committed 14 turnovers, with 24 points, while Nick Lewis scored 15 and Derrick Byars had 12.

ALUMNI ACHIEVEMENTS: A look at D-League Alumni in last night's NBA games:

22 players with D-League experience competed in 10 NBA games last night, four as starters.

- Houston's Aaron Brooks finished one rebound shy of a double-double, erupting off the bench for 22 points and nine rebounds.

- Milwaukee's Ramon Sessions scored 20 points and dished seven assists as a starter for the Bucks.

- Clippers forward Steve Novak finished with 17 points in last night's action.

- Stephen Graham recorded 14 points in 13 minutes off the bench for the Pacers. Graham also added five rebounds.

- As a starter for the Utah Jazz, CJ Miles notched 12 points, and CJ Watson tallied 12 points for the Golden State Warriors as well.

- Brandon Bass and Jose Juan Barea scored 11 points apiece for the Dallas Mavericks.
