Laredo looks to inch closer to the Texas Brahmas in the Southeast Division, as they enter tonight 10 points back of first place.

The Bucks, who look to break a two-game losing streak tonight, will match up with the Killer Bees with a few different line-up changes due to injuries and trades.

Laredo will play without Jeff Bes in the line-up for the first time since October 21, 2006. The two-time CHL MVP was placed on the 14-day IR Wednesday, after he suffered an injury Monday night in Bossier-Shreveport. Bes currently is third in the league in scoring with 60 points (14-46=60).

In Bes' absence newly acquired center Mitch Stephens assumes the Bucks leading scorer role, as he enters tonight's game with 46 points (13-33=46).

All-Star Rookie Darryl Smith still leads all CHL rookies in scoring, as he enters tonight with 45 points (21-24=45).

The Bucks have been having trouble on the road as of late, going 1-7-3 in their last 11 road games. Laredo also has had plenty of trouble winning in Rio this season, as they have gone 0-4 at the Dodge Arena.

The Killer Bees enter tonight's game six points behind the Bucks for second place in the Southeast Division.

Rio has lost two out of their last three games (all on the road), but are 13-5-2 at home this season.

The Bucks will return home Friday January 30th, when they host the Killer Bees in a Southeast Division match up. Group tickets start at just $10, call 718-BUCK (2825) to order.
