Portland Pirates News Release

Portland, Maine - The Pirates Jersey of the Night for the January 17 game will be an Eric Weinrich game-worn St. Louis Blues jersey from the 2005-06 NHL season. Fans can purchase raffle tickets throughout Saturday's 7:00 p.m. matchup for their chance to win this one-of-a-kind NHL sweater worn by the Pirates' Assistant Coach. The lucky winner will be able to meet Coach Weinrich and have him sign the jersey following the game.

This special jersey was originally made for the 2004-05 season, but was unused until the next season due to the NHL lockout. Weinrich, a native of Gardiner, Maine and UMaine alum, recorded one goal and 16 assists in 59 games with the Blues during the 2005-06 season. The inside of the jersey has Meigray patches sewn in to prove its authenticity. Don't miss your chance to win this rare piece of Maine hockey memorabilia!

Tickets for Saturday's game are still available by calling the Pirates ticket department at (207) 828-4665 x350 or visiting the Civic Center Box Office. Come see what you've been missing...Portland Pirates Hockey. The most exciting sport in Portland.
