
Three More Invited To Camp

Montreal, Dec. 18, 2008 - Montreal Alouettes' Vice President and General Manager Jim Popp is pleased to announce that three young prospects Luc Brodeur-Jourdain, Jonathan Lapointe and Darnerien McCants have signed contracts and will be invited to training camp.
Luc Brodeur-Jourdain (6'2'', 317 lbs.) is a guard from the Université Laval Rouge et Or, where he played since 2004. He attended the Alouettes' training camp in 2008 before returning for his final season with the Rouge et Or and winning his third Vanier Cup. He is 25.
Jonathan Lapointe (5'11'', 244 lbs.) spent most of the 2008 season on the Calgary Stampeders' practice roster after starting 30 of 31 games played with the University of Montreal, recording 223 yards and two touchdowns on 38 carries and 282 yards on 26 catches. He played in the 2006 East-West Bowl. He is 24.
Darnerien McCants (6'3'', 215 lbs.) is a veteran wide receiver who played in the NFL for six seasons, including four years with the Washington Redskins (2001-2004), a year with the Philadelphia Eagles (2005) and another one with the Baltimore Ravens (2008). He played three games with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 2007. He is 31.
