Ice A&W Teddy Bear and Mitten Toss December 13
November 20, 2008 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Kootenay Ice News Release
Cranbrook, BC -- The Kootenay ICE Hockey Club will once again be taking part in the traditional A&W Teddy Bear and Mitten Toss on December 13 when the Moose Jaw Warriors are in town.
Fans are encouraged to bring new and unused (due to distribution in health care facilities) stuffed toys and mittens to the game to launch onto the ice after Kootenay scores their first goal.
The ICE will be distributing the teddy bears to health care facilities and the Salvation Army in an effort to bring holiday cheer to those less fortunate.
The team is encouraging fans to also bring mittens so we can help keep others warm during the winter months.
Tickets are available at the Kootenay ICE Office and Kootenay Collectibles.
