Sea Dogs Release Pair Of Ontario-Born Forwards

SAINT JOHN, NB --- Saint John Sea Dogs Head Coach/General Manager Jacques Beaulieu announced today that forwards Kyle Paige, 20, and Andrew Howes, 18, have been released from the team's roster effective immediately.

Howes, a native of Toronto, ON, was signed by Saint John as a free agent this past summer. The 5'10", 170 lb. right winger recorded 2G-2A-4P-21PIM in 13 games played with the Sea Dogs during his tenure with the team.

Paige, a native of Richmond Hill, ON, signed with Saint John on October 6 shortly after being released by the Ontario Hockey League's Kingston Frontenacs. The 6'1", 191 lb. left winger scored one goal and dished out two assists for three points in 11 games played for the Sea Dogs.

The Sea Dogs (12-9-1-1) depart Harbour Station tomorrow morning for a three-game tour of the province of Quebec. After playing the defending President's Cup Champion Olympiques in Gatineau on Wednesday night, Saint John will face Val-d'Or on Friday and Rouyn-Noranda on Saturday prior to returning to the Port City for a brief home stand.

Saint John's next home game will be played on Saturday, November 22 and will see the Sea Dogs hit the ice for a 7:00pm contest versus the Atlantic Division-leading Moncton Wildcats. The following afternoon at 4:00pm, the Halifax Mooseheads skate into town on what will be the third of nine Sea Dogs Super Sunday games.
